The Ananya Alumni
Every year those who complete their schooling at Ananya either through the State Board or through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) become members of the Alumni Association.
The Alumni Association of Ananya was formally launched on 18th June 2005, an initiative taken by Pradeep.T, one of the students who completed his class X in the year 2000 (the first batch of ClassX) . The students who had completed their class X SSLC examinations till then met for the first time at the MDA office. There was a lot of sharing of their experiences after leaving Ananya and how life had changed for the better.
As is the normal practice the alumni come back to visit Ananya and the teachers whenever they want to. Many of them regularly come and join the celebrations of the school Annual Day. Though some of the students have been at Ananya only for a year, for them this is the place that helped in regaining their 'self esteem'; it is a place that they run back to share their successes.
A few of them have made contributions from their earnings too. Small or big it was a proud moment for teachers at Ananya to think that their students have grown up to take on responsibilities and have not forgotten their Alma Mater that had helped them to gains skills and confidence.
In November 2011, a big meet was organized. It was a farewell to Mr. Kalyanaraman "Math sir" as he is popularly known; the man with the magic wand who made learning Math easy for the class X students from 2000 to 2011. It was a day of reminiscing for many who came on that day to say how their hate became joy when they scored well in Math.
Where are our Alumni? Literally, in every walk of life:
We have an architect, a doctor, a lecturer, a banker, a gaming specialist, a foot technologist, an event manager apart from artists and Commerce graduates, maybe aspiring Chartered Accountants too?
There are many who have not stopped with graduation but went on to do their Masters too.
The sky is surely the limit!!
Watch out for the success stories of the alumni...
