When "ANANYA" came into being

Madras Dyslexia Association (MDA), a pioneer in this area, started the Ananya Learning Centre in the year 1995 with just 3 children who needed immediate intensive help.

Ananya in Sanskrit means unique. What is unique about the Ananya Learning Centre?

It is the first of its kind for

  • offering a pull out programme for children with dyslexia who are struggling in school
  • getting the school's permission for the same
  • and mainstreaming the children once the skills are acquired
